A Protocol on Training and Cooperation Signed between Fırat University and NETCAD Software Company

Our university signed a cooperation protocol on Education-Training and Research&Development" with NETCAD Yazılım A.Ş, one of the domestic and national software and technology companies in Turkey.

Our University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ebru Akpınar, Technical Services and Training Director of NETCAD Software company Tunç Emre Toptaş, Business Development Specialist Murat Öztürk and faculty members attended the signing ceremony held in the Blue Hall of the Faculty of Engineering.

Making a speech before the signing ceremony, Vice Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz wished that the cooperation would be beneficial to both parties and said, “Cooperation with the private sector is very important in order to develop education and training activities and to produce R&D projects. We will continue to work to increase such cooperations. I would like to thank those who contributed,”

Prof. Dr. Ebru Akpınar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, wished the signed cooperation protocol to be beneficial and said that mutual training activities will be carried out with NETCAD Company on smart urban planning and engineering applications.

Prof. Dr. Akpınar said  “We are actively continuing our studies on education, science, industry and technology. We take every opportunity to be beneficial to both our city and our country, especially to increase the joint research and development studies based on the production of solutions and technology for industry and implementation, to ensure that various multi-disciplinary studies are carried out between different departments of our faculty, to increase the knowledge and experience of our students after graduation, to contribute to the scientific development of our entrepreneurial students and academicians.”

Tunç Emre Toptaş, Technical Services and Education Director of NETCAD, stated that they attach great importance to working with universities and academicians and said, "We combine the scientific knowledge of academics with the R&D and software power of NETCAD, and we realize the actual use of the obtained products in Turkey. We turn the projects into software.We focus on analysis and synthesis. In this respect, we attach great importance to working with universities and academicians.”

After the speeches, a training and cooperation protocol was signed between Vice Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ebru Akpınar and Tunç Emre Toptaş, Technical Services and Training Director of NETCAD Software company.         

Basically according to the Training and Cooperation Protocol between NETCAD Yazılım A.Ş and our University :

  1. NETCAD software licenses will be provided to the computer laboratories of the faculties of Fırat University free of charge for each academic term, only for the use of academicians and students, and only for educational purposes.
  2. Joint research activities will be carried out on topics such as geographic information technologies, communication, logistics management, human-computer interaction, design development for the disabled, human-machine interaction, mobile applications, infrastructure systems, database management systems, computer-aided design applications, smart cities, campus information systems.
  3. Netcad Technology Days, Symposiums and Workshops will be organized at appropriate dates to be determined by Fırat University and NETCAD in each education term with the participation of students and academicians, and organizations such as Career days and Fırat University student club organizations will be attended by NETCAD Yazılım A.Ş.
  4. With the FÜ-NETCAD Academy, which will be founded within the scope of Fırat University and will provide free service, FÜ-NETCAD Academy training programs for associate, undergraduate and graduate students will be organized and joint R&D studies will be carried out.
