Fırat University actively carries out research, innovation and cooperation activities within the scope of European Union projects. Our university acts as the coordinator institution in 1 Higher Education Capacity Building project and 3 Jean Monnet Module projects supported by the Central Executive Agency in Brussels. We are also the beneficiary of 1 Horizon Marie Curie Staff Exchande and 1 Virtual Exchanges projects supported by the Central Agency. Our university carries out projects with the status of leading and supporting institution in ESC projects supported by the Turkish National Agency. In addition, there are 2 KA154 projects in which our University is a beneficiary. Our university prepares and realizes projects at national and international level by making the best use of EU funds that support scientific and technological developments. In this context, many strategic partnerships are established and multidisciplinary studies are carried out on the axis of education, research and innovation.
Our researchers conduct important research in various disciplines within the framework of Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Brussels-based international projects and other EU programs. These projects are shaped in line with the goals of not only contributing to the academic world, but also strengthening industry collaborations, supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem and contributing to the sustainable development of society.
Through EU projects, our university encourages the participation of our academic staff and students in global research networks, supports the development of innovative ideas and strengthens scientific collaborations. In particular, it aims to accelerate the transfer of knowledge and technology by carrying out joint projects with prestigious universities, research centers and private sector organizations in Europe.
