In today's higher education system, internationalization has become one of the main strategic elements that increase the academic quality, scientific impact and global visibility of universities. Fırat University, as a part of this transformation with its deep-rooted history and strong academic infrastructure, carries out a structuring process in accordance with international standards in the fields of education, research and social contribution.
The Internationalization Commission established in this context, as a strategic structure that guides the internationalization vision of our university, carries out studies based on basic principles such as quality assurance in higher education, sustainable academic collaborations, cultural diversity and global competitiveness. The Commission plans, implements and monitors internationalization processes on an institutional scale by ensuring coordination between administrative and academic units.
Fırat University Internationalization Commission sees internationalization not only as a process limited to quantitative targets, but also as a multidimensional institutional transformation tool that encourages intercultural learning, supports academic excellence and makes our university an effective actor in the world higher education field.
MISSION
The mission of Fırat University Internationalization Commission is to develop and implement participatory, sustainable and quality-oriented internationalization processes based on strategic planning in order to increase the international visibility and academic interaction of our university. In this direction, it is to contribute to our university becoming a strong actor in the international higher education system by creating a structure that supports diversity in education, establishes cross-border collaborations in scientific research, and encourages the global mobility of students and staff.
VISION
The vision of the Internationalization Commission of Fırat University is to make our university an internationally recognized higher education institution that offers multicultural learning environments, is a pioneer in international academic and administrative cooperation, and produces digitalization-based internationalization policies in line with sustainable development goals. In line with this vision, the Commission aims to place Fırat University in a competitive, respected and innovative position among the world universities.
Internal Control:
In Article 55 of the Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018; Internal Control is defined as a set of financial and other controls covering the organization, method and process established by the administration and internal audit in order to ensure that the activities are carried out effectively, economically and efficiently, assets and resources are protected, accounting records are kept accurately and completely, financial information and management information are produced in a timely and reliable manner in accordance with the objectives of the administration, determined policies and legislation.
With the Communique on Public Internal Control Standards, 5 components, 18 standards and 79 general conditions required for these standards have been determined in order to establish, implement, monitor and improve the internal control system in public administrations.
In line with the Internal Control Standards Compliance Action Plan Guide, an action plan for compliance with public internal control standards is prepared and published periodically at our university. With the Internal Control System, it is aimed to carry out activities effectively, economically and efficiently, to achieve strategic goals, to anticipate events that may prevent achieving the goals, to protect our assets and resources, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information obtained in the decisions taken.
