Collaboration Between Our University and Turkish Airlines

During the visit of Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, to Elazığ, discussions were held regarding potential collaborations between our university and Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. Following this visit, senior executives from Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. paid a high-level visit to our university. The delegation included Abdullah Aydın, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources, Kenan Şahan, Head of Human Resources, Abdülkerim Akyol, Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Manager, and Zehra Avar, Talent Acquisition Chief. They were welcomed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, in his office. As a result of the meeting, Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. committed to contributing to several key areas, including accepting students for the "Hangarım Kampüs" and short-term internship programs, providing material support for the needs of our Civil Aviation School as resources allow, organizing technical field trips for students at THY Technic locations, and supporting the academic development of our faculty through THY Technic Academy. Commenting on the visit, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, stated: “This collaboration with Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. marks an important step in strengthening our university’s ties with the industry. We take great pride in launching projects that will contribute to the career journeys of our students. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the executives of Turkish Airlines Technic Inc., particularly Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, and our Elazığ MP Mahmut Rıdvan Nazırlı, for their contributions to the success of this process. I would also like to thank our academic and administrative staff for their efforts in bringing our university to this point. This partnership will not only benefit our university but will also present significant opportunities for our region and country.
