Fırat University Advanced to 17th in Turkey’s University Rankings
According to the latest results from the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Fırat University has achieved a significant rise in ranking over the past four years, advancing seven places to become the 17th top university in Turkey. URAP, established under the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University, evaluates higher education institutions based on various academic metrics. In the recently released 2024-2025 Turkey rankings, Fırat University moved up one place from last year’s ranking, securing 17th place and marking a steady climb from its 24th position in the 2020-2021 rankings. Ranked 17th Nationally, 14th Among State Universities In addition to its overall national ranking, Fırat University holds the 14th position among state universities and ranks 12th among universities with medical faculties. Elazığ Among Top University Cities Fırat University’s ranking places Elazığ among the top 15 cities in Turkey with high-ranking universities, alongside Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, Kayseri, and Erzurum. Elazığ is notably the only non-metropolitan city to appear in this top-tier group.
